# Rewalto MCP server tools: Account

The Account group of Rewalto's MCP server has 7 tools as of 8 November 2026, 9:03 pm IST. Each tool below shows what it returns, its credit cost, who can call it and its inputs, read live from Rewalto's public tool list.

Who is calling, the credit balance and what was spent.

### `get_credit_balance`

Credit balance. Free and paid credits left this month. Free. Needs an API key; answers for the key’s own organisation only.

- Who can call it: API key or Sign in with Rewalto, permission `usage:read`
- Inputs: none

### `get_report`

A report. One report edition with its files. For a page "report:<id>", call this first. Free. Needs a signed-in dashboard session (admin and staff only for now); an API key is refused with forbidden.

- Inputs:
  - `id` (string, required): The report edition id.

### `get_social_cost_statement`

The month's social pull costs. Approved internal clients only (Orcheo). Approved pulls in a UTC month by operation and collector: calls, measured cost and the charge at cost plus 20%, in USD and in INR (each call at the RBI reference rate of its own day; invoiced with the C-040 monthly statements, outside credits). Free. Needs an API key of an approved client (C-047); any other caller gets not_found. Paging, provenance, availability, receipts and collector issues come back as structured fields.

- Inputs:
  - `month` (string, required): YYYY-MM (UTC).

### `list_credit_usage`

Credit usage. What spent credits, newest first, with receipts. Free. Needs an API key; answers for the key’s own organisation only.

- Credit cost: Free
- Who can call it: API key or Sign in with Rewalto, permission `usage:read`
- Inputs:
  - `limit` (string, optional): At most this many rows (the API caps it).
  - `cursor` (string, optional): The `next` cursor from the previous page.

### `list_reports`

Reports. The organisation’s report editions, newest first: what each covers, its files and until when it can be downloaded. Free. Needs a signed-in dashboard session (admin and staff only for now); an API key is refused with forbidden.

- Credit cost: Free
- Who can call it: A signed-in Rewalto dashboard only; an API key is refused
- Inputs:
  - `limit` (string, optional): At most this many rows (the API caps it).
  - `cursor` (string, optional): The `next` cursor from the previous page.
  - `includeSuperseded` (string, optional): true also lists editions a corrected one replaced. One of: `true`, `false`.

### `refund_read`

Ask for a charge back. Asks for a charge’s credits back by its receipt (a `read` or `receipt` entry of list_credit_usage). A charged read is refunded, e.g. when its answer never arrived, unless the same data was read again after; a run only when it failed. Asking again returns the same refund. A refusal is `refund_refused` with the reason. Needs an API key; answers for the key’s own organisation only.

- Who can call it: API key or Sign in with Rewalto, permission `data:read`
- Inputs:
  - `receiptId` (string, required): The receipt, as list_credit_usage shows it.
  - `reason` (string, required): Why, in a sentence.

### `whoami`

Who am I. The organisation, role and plan the API key belongs to. Free. Needs an API key; answers for the key’s own organisation only.

## How the tools charge

Each tool is one call to the Rewalto API, with the same permissions, credit rates and quote and approval steps as the API, the CLI and the dashboard. Calling the tool list is free and needs no key. A tool marked as spending credits charges only for data delivered, at the published rate, and each answer says what it charged. A run that delivers nothing costs nothing.
