What we found

  • 4Apps with a reportEach cleared the floors for days, products and categories.
  • 2Apps with a Shelf scoreNeeds at least 50% of eligible products rated.
  • 5CategoriesEach with at least one app that cleared its floor.
  • 15,226Products scoredacross all apps, with a value for every part.

The score is a median of products, shown with the middle half and always with the number of products behind it. It describes the shelf we observed, per app, and is never averaged across apps.

What we left out

Slices we did not publish, and why

  • Nothing was left out for this period.
  • Apps we read too thinly or too recently to publish are not listed here. They appear when they clear the same floors.
Method

How the score is made

We read public product pages on named apps, about once a day, at named pin codes. The period is the seven days to 25 Sep 2026. A product is read only if it clears the same floors as the other data reports.

Shelf score = 35% availability + 25% price stability + 20% content completeness + 20% rating part
Rating part = 100 × (shrunk rating − 3) ÷ 2, held between 0 and 100

A product with any part missing is unscored, never zero. An app or category figure is the median of its products’ scores. It is published only when at least 50% of the eligible products carry a rating and at least 30 (200 for a whole app) are scored, and a figure below 10 or above 98 is held and checked before it is shown. Figures are per app and never averaged across apps. Read the full method.

Questions

Questions people ask about this report

Is the Shelf score the Rewalto Score?

No. The Rewalto Score is the monthly brand score. The Shelf score reads an app or category over the last seven days, from four parts: availability, price stability, content completeness and rating.

Is a higher score better, and does it order apps?

A higher score means the products we read were more often in stock, held their price, had complete listings and carried better ratings. Apps are listed alphabetically and nothing here is put in an order.

Why does an app or category have no score?

Either the app shows no stock signal, so availability cannot be read, or fewer than half of its eligible products carry a rating, so the median would describe only the rated minority. The four parts are still shown, and the reason is stated on the page.

Why is there no score for each product?

A product is named only for a neutral fact, and a score under a product's name would be a verdict on it. Scores are for apps and categories.

How are the weights chosen?

Availability 35, price stability 25, content completeness 20 and rating 20. Availability is the largest because it is the shelf behaviour we measure directly. The method version is shelf score v2.

Notes

  1. Each product's Shelf score is 35% availability, 25% price stability, 20% content completeness and 20% rating, on a scale of 0 to 100. An app's or category's figure is the median of its products' scores, with the middle half (the 25th to the 75th percentile) beside it. It reads the shelf we observed. It is not a judgement of a brand and it is not the Rewalto Score. Back
  2. Scored N of M: M is the products with availability, price stability and content completeness all read, and N is those that also carry a rating. A product with no rating is unscored, never zero. A figure is published only when at least 50% of the eligible products carry a rating and at least 30 (200 for a whole app) are scored. Back
  3. Availability is the share of pin-code and day cells in which the product was in stock, among the cells where the app said whether it was. It needs at least 8 known cells on apps read by pin code and 4 on apps read at one pin code. An app that shows no stock signal, such as Flipkart, has no availability and so no Shelf score. We read a product only where the app lists it, so an app that hides a product when it is out of stock shows that product as missing, not as out of stock: availability is of the products an app kept listed, and can flatter an app that hides them. Back
  4. Price stability is 100 × the larger of 0 and (1 − CV ÷ 10%), where CV is how much the product's daily selling price varied at a pin code, taken as the median across pin codes. A price that moves 10% or more scores 0. It needs 4 priced days. Back
  5. Content completeness is the share of five listing fields present on our readings: title, brand, pack size, image and MRP. It says what we read from the listing, not whether the words are good. Back
  6. The rating part is 100 × (rating − 3) ÷ 2, held between 0 and 100, after a thin rating is pulled toward the average of the same app and category: a rating counts as its number of ratings against 20 ratings' worth of that average, and an app that shows no count is treated as having 20. A rating of 0 means not rated yet and is left out. Where the app shows a count, a product needs at least 10 ratings. Back
