Share of search on Indian shopping apps
Share of search is how much of the first ten search results a brand holds for the words shoppers type. Rewalto measures it every day as a live dataset. Each record names the app, the search term, the pin code and the day. Its apps, pin codes and history are read from the Rewalto data catalogue.
Key facts
The coverage, refresh and price are read from the Rewalto data catalogue when this page is served; the commerce data page lists them too.
A place in the results needs the search behind it
A shopper who types “protein bar” on a quick-commerce app sees a different list from one who types “protein bar 6 pack”, and a different one again in another pin code or at another hour. So every record carries the search term, the pin code and the day it belongs to.
The term shoppers type
Every record names the exact search term it came from.
App and pin code
Quick-commerce apps are read by pin code; marketplaces nationally, as the key facts say.
Organic or sponsored
A record says how much of the share sat in sponsored places, where the app marks them.
Method and limits
A brand’s share is its products in places one to ten over every brand’s products in those places, across all the searches read that day for that term and pin code.
- Only the search terms Rewalto reads are covered. Tell us the terms you need through the data catalogue.
- The sponsored part is zero on an app that does not mark paid places on the page. It is never guessed.
- A share describes the results Rewalto read. It is not a sales figure and not a forecast.
How to get it
Through the Rewalto API, the command line, the MCP server (preview) or the dashboard. Credits are charged only for records delivered.

Questions before you start
Does Rewalto measure share of search today?
Yes. Share of search is a live dataset in the Rewalto catalogue. Each record is one brand's share of the first ten places for one search term, on one app, at one pin code, on one day. The apps, pin codes and history it covers are listed on this page from the catalogue.
How is a brand's share worked out?
Rewalto runs the search on the app and reads the results. A brand's share is its products in places one to ten over every brand's products in those places, across all the searches read that day for that term and pin code.
Are sponsored places counted apart from organic ones?
Each record says how much of a brand's share sat in sponsored places. Only some apps mark a paid place on the page, and the catalogue names them. Where an app shows no marker, the sponsored part is zero rather than a guess.
Why not publish a single rank for a product?
The same search gives a different list by pin code and time of day. A rank with no search term, place and time behind it cannot be checked, so every record carries all three.
How do I get the data, and what does it cost?
Read it through the Rewalto API, the command line or the dashboard. You pay credits only for records delivered, at the rate shown on this page, and an empty answer costs nothing.
