The Blinkit fill-rate floor and level ladder: what RevQ reports and what we can check

RevQ reports that Blinkit expects a fill rate above 90 per cent, demotes below 80 per cent, and rolls new products out through levels tied to sales velocity. That is one vendor's account, and we have not verified it. Ask your Blinkit account contact for the platform's own figures, and watch availability by pin code.

Key takeaways

  • RevQ says Blinkit expects a fill rate above 90 per cent and demotes below 80 per cent. That is RevQ's account, not ours.
  • RevQ also describes a level ladder from Trial to pan-India coverage, driven by sales velocity.
  • Neither RevQ nor we can verify how Blinkit ranks. RevQ sells tracking, so read it as one vendor's account.
  • Rewalto does not measure fill rate. It records availability and price by pin code and time.

This post is the timely take. The evergreen how-to is the guide Organic rank on Blinkit and Zepto: level, appearance and fill rate, which covers the topic in full.

What is the Blinkit fill-rate floor that RevQ describes?

Fill rate is the share of a platform's purchase orders that a brand delivers on time and in full. In its guide to organic ranking on quick commerce, RevQ writes that Blinkit expects a fill rate above 90 per cent and that a brand falling below 80 per cent faces algorithmic demotion, with lower search position, reduced pincode coverage and possible removal of listings.

RevQ adds that a brand can look healthy nationally while running far below the floor in particular dark stores, which is why it argues fill rate should be watched by store rather than in aggregate. These are RevQ's statements about Blinkit's rules. They are not numbers we measured. RevQ calls the 90 and 80 per cent figures Blinkit's documented threshold, but its page links to no Blinkit document, and we have not seen Blinkit publish them. We re-read RevQ's page on 31 October 2026 and the figures had not changed; its footer says published May 2026 and its header says 5 June.

What is the level ladder, and how does it connect to rank?

RevQ describes a rollout system for new products. In RevQ's account, a new product starts at Trial, under 100 units in one city, and moves up through Level 1 within a city, Levels 2 and 3 across cities, and Level 4 at pan-India coverage, each step depending on hitting sales-velocity targets over rolling 30-day windows. RevQ says fill rate matters more as a product reaches more dark stores.

The chain RevQ draws is sequential: velocity earns levels, levels earn dark-store coverage, and coverage sets the ceiling on organic rank. Whether or not the detail is right, the shape is worth knowing, because it says rank is shaped by supply and sales as much as by the listing.

Fill rate

Purchase orders delivered on time and in full, above the floor RevQ describes.

Availability

The product is in stock in the dark stores that serve a pin code.

Sales velocity

Units sold in a store's catchment over rolling windows.

Level

The stage of a new product's rollout, from Trial upward, as RevQ tells it.

Coverage and rank

More dark stores can serve the product, and organic position follows.

RevQ's account of the chain, not Blinkit's documentation and not a Rewalto finding. We have not verified it, and Rewalto does not measure fill rate.

Can anyone outside Blinkit verify any of this?

Not from where we sit. RevQ itself says neither Blinkit nor Zepto gives brands a direct organic rank report, and nobody outside an app can say how it orders its results. RevQ also sells tracking in this area, so read its guide as one vendor's account, useful as a set of questions and not as documentation.

That is the same caution our guide on organic rank on Blinkit and Zepto applies to any claim about how an app ranks. It defines level, appearance and fill rate and keeps paid and unpaid results apart, without asserting any threshold.

What can a brand check for itself?

Rewalto's Dark-store map counts the Blinkit dark stores it has found, by city, read live with the day of each count. That is the footprint the top of the ladder describes, and RevQ's warning applies store by store, so a national average can hide many of them. Our Dark-store map shows the count by city.

Your own fill rate by dark store is your supply data, not ours, and Rewalto does not measure it. What Rewalto records is what a shopper was shown: whether a product was available, its price and its search position, by pin code and time, with the source. Laid beside your own fill-rate data, those readings can show whether availability gaps in a pin code line up with supply gaps in the store that serves it.

The guide on pin-code shelf truth explains how to read a reading, the pin code availability tool checks a product in one pin code, the dark-store coverage map shows which stores sit near it, and the guide on checking availability before retail media covers why to look at the shelf before you spend to bring shoppers to it.

Should you organise your supply around these thresholds?

Treat them as a question for your Blinkit account contact, not as fact. Ask what fill rate the platform expects, how it is measured, at what grain, and what happens below it, and ask for the answer in writing. If it matches RevQ's account, you have confirmation from the source. If it does not, you have avoided building a plan on a vendor's summary.

Review availability by pin code alongside the platform’s own reports. The data catalogue lists current fields and coverage; check the dates and locations before using any records for a monthly review.

Quick answers

What fill rate does Blinkit require?

RevQ reports that Blinkit expects above 90 per cent and demotes below 80 per cent. That is RevQ's account, and we have not verified it. Ask your Blinkit account contact for the platform's own figure.

Does Rewalto measure fill rate?

No. Fill rate is your supply data. Rewalto records what shoppers were shown: availability, price and search position by pin code and time.

Are the levels the same on Zepto?

We do not know. RevQ describes the level system for Blinkit only. It says Zepto's ranking follows similar logic but gives no Zepto levels or fill-rate figure, and we have not seen either documented.
