Why sell on Flipkart Minutes: 5 checks for brands

Sell on Flipkart Minutes when your buyers live near its dark stores, your product suits a small neighbourhood shelf, and you can keep every store stocked. Flipkart approves brands through its own seller channels, and Rewalto does not onboard sellers. Before you apply, read its stores, cities and promised delivery times by pin code.

Key takeaways

  • Rewalto's Dark-store map counts Flipkart Minutes stores weekly, by city and pin code; the post reads the latest count live.
  • Flipkart decides who sells on Flipkart Minutes, where and on what terms. Ask Flipkart and keep its answers in writing.
  • Ask what Flipkart Minutes adds: new cities, or more stores near your buyers in cities your other apps already serve.
  • Launch where you can keep stores stocked, then read the same pin codes every day before adding more.

This post is the timely take. The evergreen how-to is the guide How to sell on Blinkit, and 3 checks after you list, which covers the topic in full.

When does selling on Flipkart Minutes make sense for a brand?

Selling on Flipkart Minutes makes sense when your buyers live near its dark stores, your product suits a small neighbourhood shelf, and you can keep every store you are placed in supplied. If any one of the three is missing, a listing can go live and still sell very little.

Rewalto's Dark-store map counts the Flipkart Minutes dark stores it has found, by city and pin code, and shows each count with the day it was taken. By store count that puts Flipkart Minutes among the larger quick-commerce networks in India. A count tells you where the app can deliver. The five checks below tell you whether your brand should be there, before you apply and after you list.

  • Your buyers live in cities and pin codes where Flipkart Minutes runs dark stores.
  • Flipkart Minutes reaches shoppers that the other apps you sell on do not.
  • Your category already sells from a small shelf, at pack sizes a shopper buys on impulse.
  • You can supply each store you are placed in and keep it in stock every day.

What is Flipkart Minutes, and how is it different from selling on Flipkart?

Flipkart Minutes is Flipkart's quick-commerce service. A shopper sets a delivery address, the app assigns the dark store that serves it, and the shopper sees only what that one store holds. A dark store is a small warehouse closed to walk-in shoppers; read what a dark store is for how it works.

The Flipkart marketplace works another way. A marketplace listing is one product page that ships from a seller's warehouse to almost any address, and a shopper can scroll a very long range. On Flipkart Minutes your product sits on a narrow shelf in a store chosen by pin code, so being approved for the app is not the same as being on the shelf near a given buyer.

Keep the two apart in your own plans too. Rewalto's Flipkart marketplace data is a separate dataset from its Flipkart Minutes data, because the questions differ: a marketplace listing is about search and reviews across the country, a quick-commerce listing is about which store, which pin code and whether the item is there today.

The Flipkart marketplace

One product page, shipped from the seller's warehouse to almost any address. A shopper scrolls a long range, and search and reviews decide what is seen.

Flipkart Minutes

A narrow shelf in the dark store the app assigns to the shopper's address. What is seen depends on which store, which pin code, and whether the item is in stock today.

Two different jobs under one company name. Flipkart approves sellers for both, on its own terms.

First check: are Flipkart Minutes dark stores near your buyers?

Start with where the stores are, because a dark store only serves the addresses around it. Rewalto's Flipkart Minutes dark-store map lists the cities with the most stores, read live with the day of each count. Those cities are where a launch has the most stores to place stock in, and where a shopper is most likely to have the app on their phone.

Then compare it with the apps you already sell on or are weighing up. The table below is read from the same live count as Rewalto's dark stores in India page. Store counts show where an app can deliver, not how much it sells, and they are what the apps show shoppers, so treat them as a floor and not as figures from the companies.

A national total can hide a thin city. Before you commit, open Rewalto's Flipkart Minutes data page, which lists its biggest cities and links its store map, and look at the cities your buyers live in, then the pin codes inside them. The free dark-store pin code lookup answers the narrower question of which stores serve one pin code.

What a store count shows

How many dark stores each app runs, the cities they are in and the pin codes each one serves, as the apps show them to shoppers.

What it cannot show

Orders, sales, basket size or revenue. An app with fewer stores can deliver more from each one, so a share of stores is not a share of the market.

A store count maps the network an app has built. It is not a measure of who sells the most.

Second check: where does Flipkart Minutes reach shoppers the other apps miss?

Next, ask what Flipkart Minutes adds to the apps you already use. If you sell on Blinkit or Zepto, a store in a city those apps also serve competes for the same shopper. A store in a city they do not serve reaches a new one.

Rewalto's app-against-app pages list the cities where Flipkart Minutes has a dark store and Blinkit, Zepto or Swiggy Instamart do not. When that list is short, Flipkart Minutes adds stores inside cities you already reach rather than new cities. In that case the useful comparison is store by store: in which of your cities does it run more stores near your buyers than the app you sell on now?

The app-against-app pages show this city by city. Rewalto's Zepto vs Flipkart Minutes and Blinkit vs Flipkart Minutes pages list the cities both apps serve, which app has more stores in each, and the cities each has to itself. If your plan is a first app rather than a second, read Blinkit vs Zepto vs Instamart: which to launch on first before you choose.

Third check: does your category fit a dark store's shelf?

A dark store holds a narrow range chosen for the neighbourhood it serves: what people buy often, want fast and carry home in one bag. Groceries, snacks, personal care and small household items fit that pattern. Large, slow-moving or made-to-order products fit the marketplace better.

One way to test fit is to look at the shelf the way a shopper does. Open the app, set a delivery address where your buyers live, search for your category and note which brands appear, at what pack sizes, and how many choices a shopper gets. Repeat at several addresses in different parts of the city, because the range changes from one store to the next.

Write down what you see, with the address and the time. A screenshot is enough for a first pass. If your category is missing at most addresses, that can mean an opening or it can mean the app does not want the category; your conversation with Flipkart is where you find out which.

  • Search the words your buyers use, not your brand name.
  • Note the pack sizes on the shelf and whether yours matches the smallest one.
  • Count how many brands a shopper sees before scrolling.
  • Repeat at the same addresses a week later, before you read anything into one look.

Fourth check: who approves your brand on Flipkart Minutes, and where do you apply?

Flipkart does. Selling on any Flipkart service starts from Flipkart's own Seller Hub, and Flipkart decides who is approved for Minutes, which products go live, which stores they are placed in and on what terms. Rewalto is not part of that process, does not onboard sellers and does not speak for Flipkart.

When Rewalto read Flipkart's Seller Hub on 5 November 2026, the page described selling on the marketplace and did not set out the terms for Minutes. So this post states no documents list, timeline, fee or margin for Minutes. Ask Flipkart, keep its answers in writing, and check them again on the day you apply, because they can change.

Go into that conversation with your own evidence: the cities and pin codes you want to start in, the stores that serve them, and what is already on the shelf there. A brand that can name its first stores and show it has read the shelf asks better questions about placement than one that asks to be listed everywhere.

Fifth check: can you keep every store stocked and on its delivery promise?

Shoppers buy what the store has today. Every store you are placed in needs stock on the day a shopper looks, and the app shows an out-of-stock product as unavailable or leaves it out of the results. A launch across many stores that cannot be refilled does more harm than a launch across a few that can.

Plan the first stores around your supply, not the other way round. Start where you can deliver to the stores often, watch how fast each one sells through, and add stores only when the first ones stay in stock. The guide on listed but unavailable explains why a live listing and an available product are two different things.

The app also promises shoppers a delivery time at each address. Rewalto keeps the delivery times Flipkart Minutes promised on screen at pin codes as history, on its delivery time by pin code page. These are promises shown to shoppers, not measured deliveries, and they are history rather than a daily feed, but they show where the app has said it is quick.

Reach

Are its dark stores in the cities and pin codes where your buyers live?

What it adds

Does it reach shoppers in places your other apps do not serve?

Category fit

Does your category already sell from a small shelf, at the pack size you make?

Approval

Flipkart decides who is approved and where. Ask, and keep the answers in writing.

Supply

Can you keep each store stocked, and does the app promise quick delivery there?

The five checks in this post, in the order a brand team can run them. Approval is Flipkart's decision; the other four are read from the shelf and the store map.

How do you measure Flipkart Minutes once you are live?

Measure the same way each time: fixed addresses, fixed search words, a fixed time of day, with every reading kept with its date. One look tells you little. The same look each day shows where you are listed, where you are missing and where you sold out.

Know what an outside source can see. Rewalto's Flipkart Minutes data page states what it holds today: dark stores with the pin codes each serves, and the delivery times the app promised, as history. It holds no Flipkart Minutes prices, stock or search rank, so do not plan a price tracker on it. For Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart and other apps, Rewalto reads prices and stock by pin code, which lets you compare how your product is shown on the apps where those readings exist.

  • Pick the pin codes that matter to you and keep them fixed.
  • Check each day that your product is listed and in stock at each one.
  • Compare your price against MRP and against the same product on other apps.
  • Review the stores that keep running out before you ask for more stores.

What do the five checks look like on one page?

What mistakes do brands make on a new quick-commerce app?

Four mistakes come from running a quick-commerce app like a marketplace. Each has a plain fix.

  • Launching in every city at once, then running out in most stores. Start where you can refill.
  • Reading one national store count as demand. Read the stores near your buyers instead.
  • Listing the marketplace pack size. A small shelf needs the pack a shopper picks up on impulse.
  • Checking the shelf once at launch. Read the same pin codes every day and keep the record.

Quick answers

Is Flipkart Minutes the same as selling on Flipkart?

No. Flipkart Minutes is Flipkart's quick-commerce service, delivered from dark stores chosen by the shopper's address. The Flipkart marketplace ships from a seller's warehouse to almost anywhere. Flipkart approves sellers for both, and the terms are Flipkart's.

How many dark stores does Flipkart Minutes have?

Rewalto's Dark-store map counts the Flipkart Minutes dark stores it has found, by city and pin code, and shows each count with the day it was taken. The count is refreshed weekly on Rewalto's dark stores in India page.

Does Rewalto help brands get listed on Flipkart Minutes?

No. Flipkart decides who is approved and on what terms. Rewalto reads what the apps show shoppers, so a brand can choose its first cities and measure its shelf after it lists.

Can I track my Flipkart Minutes prices with Rewalto?

Not today. Rewalto holds Flipkart Minutes dark stores and promised delivery times, but no Flipkart Minutes prices, stock or search rank. It reads prices and stock by pin code on Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart and other apps.

Which city should a brand start in on Flipkart Minutes?

Start where your buyers already are and where you can refill stores often, then check how many Flipkart Minutes stores serve those pin codes. A city with fewer stores near your buyers can beat a bigger city where they are far away.
