Rewalto MCP server tools: Catalogue

The Catalogue group of Rewalto's MCP server has 6 tools as of 8 November 2026, 8:53 pm IST. Each tool below shows what it returns, its credit cost, who can call it and its inputs, read live from Rewalto's public tool list.

Catalogue (6 tools)

What Rewalto holds: categories, cards, entries and whether a product is already collected.

check_intake

Do we already hold these products?. For up to 25 product links or retailer product ids: whether Rewalto already collects each, how it was linked (linkMethod), the product id it declares (declaredSku) and, per held listing, the canonical product it is linked to. Coverage facts only, never the data. Public and free to call.

Anyone, no sign-in
Inputs
  • items (list of string, required): Product links or retailer product ids.

create_data_request

Ask for data Rewalto does not hold. Records a request for data Rewalto does not offer yet: a catalogue search that found nothing, or a product link that is not held (send what found nothing as `query`). Staff count requests as demand for new datasets. No contact details in the text. Free. Needs an API key; answers for the key’s own organisation only.

Inputs
  • text (string, required): What data is missing, in the user’s words.
  • query (string, optional): What found nothing: the search, or the product link or id not held.
  • surface (string, optional): Where it was asked (default mcp). One of: api, cli, mcp.

get_catalogue_entry

Get a catalogue entry. One dataset, recipe, workflow or tool in full: inputs and outputs (JSON Schema), sample rows, data dictionary, coverage with holes, freshness, rights, versions and, for a workflow, what it uses. Public and free to call. Each entry shows its own pricing from the catalogue: a published rate, "quote first", or "free tool".

  • id (string, required): An entry id: one of a card's entryIds, or the id of a search result of type entry. Never a product id.

list_catalogue_categories

list_catalogue_products

List or filter catalogue cards. Data-product cards: what you get, how many entries, coverage, freshness, keep/live and status. Filter by category id, text and status (live, preview, planned, degraded). Public and free to call. Each entry shows its own pricing from the catalogue: a published rate, "quote first", or "free tool".

Anyone, no sign-in
Inputs
  • category (string, optional): Only this category id.
  • q (string, optional): Only cards whose name, summary, data types or sources contain this.
  • status (string, optional): One of: live, preview, planned, degraded.

search_catalogue

Search the catalogue. Search names, data types, sources and field names. A pasted product link or retailer product id also gets an intake answer (whether Rewalto already holds it). Pass the id of a result of type entry to get_catalogue_entry. A result of type product is a card, not an entry: its entry ids are the entryIds of that card in list_catalogue_products. Public and free to call. Each entry shows its own pricing from the catalogue: a published rate, "quote first", or "free tool".

  • q (string, required): Text, a product link or a product id.

How the tools charge

Each tool is one call to the Rewalto API, with the same permissions, credit rates and quote and approval steps as the API, the CLI and the dashboard. Calling the tool list is free and needs no key. A tool marked as spending credits charges only for data delivered, at the published rate, and each answer says what it charged. A run that delivers nothing costs nothing. See pricing and credits and receipts.
